1. Show HN: A Free Tool for Planning Poker and Agile Retrospectives
Author: chandl
Description: Hi HN,
I built a free tool called scrum.host to help Agile teams run two key processes more easily:
- Planning Poker for task estimation.
- Retrospectives, with anonymous feedback sharing and prioritization (works live or asynchronously).
I made this after struggling with manual methods and finding most tools either overcomplicated or locked behind paywalls. scrum.host is:
- Free to use (no hidden fees).
- No sign-up required, even for hosting rooms.
- Lightweight and focused, built to solve the problem without adding clutter.
Would love for you to try it and share your thoughts. Feedback, suggestions, and critiques are all welcome!

2. Show HN: AI Tool to Grow Founder Brand
Author: smill49
Description: I used to ghostwrite for fintech founders/CEOs.
I realized I was doing the same thing over and over: watch their meetings and write down content worthy moments, research their perspectives and customer problems/questions, turn it into content.
So I built Inboundr to SaaSify / automate my ghostwriting process and help founders create content without spending 2 hours a day brainstorming, researching and writing.
I hope this will be as helpful to you as it was for me. Would love your feedback pls

URL: https://github.com/athina-ai/rag-cookbooks
Author: hbamoria
Description: Hey HN fam,
We’ve seen developers spend a lot of time implementing advanced RAG techniques from scratch.
While these techniques are essential for improving performance, their implementation requires a lot of effort and testing!
To help with this process, our team (Athina AI) has released Open-Source Advanced RAG Cookbooks.
This is a collection of ready-to-run Google Colab notebooks featuring the most commonly implemented techniques.
Please show us some love by starring the repo if you find this useful!

4. Show HN: Belief.garden – a social network for civil discussion
Author: klntsky
Description: Hi!
Initially, belief.garden was a questionnaire on various civil discussion and philosophical topics, where one could create a profile.
I made this site a few months ago, and today I added public discussions, notifications, a global activity feed, and a moderation system, which actually makes it a social network.
Please take a look and tell me what you think

7. Show HN: FitBee – A Better Alternative to MyFitnessPal
URL: https://apps.apple.com/us/app/fitbee-calorie-macro-counter/id6443979108
Author: yqiang
Description: I was overweight in college and started my weight loss journey using an app called MyFitnessPal. Tracking calories not only helped me lose weight but also taught me a lot about nutrition and helped establish healthy eating habits that continue to benefit me. However, I’ve always been frustrated by the existing nutrition tracking apps. They are slow and bloated, lack accurate nutrition data, or don’t respect user privacy. I wanted to build something that I’d love using myself.
A few things that make FitBee stand out:
* Fast, lightweight and to the point - The app is just about tracking your nutrition and makes that front and center. I've tried to make things that you do often as simple as possible (e.g., log yesterday's breakfast).
* Robust Apple Health support - You can read/write data to Apple Health. I wear an Apple Watch so it's great for getting the energy burned through exercises.
* Accurate nutrition data - The nutrition data is sourced from the USDA dataset and nutrition labels off the packages. I also spent effort adding east asian foods (e.g. things you get at 99 Ranch or Weee) to the database, since those were hard to find/track in other apps I've tried.
* Photo Logging - You can take a photo of a food and get an estimate of the calories and macros. It's not 100% accurate but it's been super helpful for me when eating at a restaurant that doesn't have published nutrition info.
* Recipe importing - You can pretty much point any recipe at the app and it'll import the ingredients and generate nutrition information for you. As I got more into fitness, I started to cook more so this has been super helpful.
* No Ads - The app is monetized via a subscription.
* Monetization - Most of the features are free, but there are a few which require a monthly or annual subscription ($4.99/month or $39.99/year). I also recently added a one time purchase option since a few folks had asked about it.
You can try FitBee here: https://apple.co/4aGUw5X. I'd love your feedback!

10. Show HN: Relocate.me – Your Relocation Companion
URL: https://relocate.me/
Author: andrewstetsenko
Description: Hi HN community,
It’s Andrew, the founder of Relocate.me here.
I've already submitted Relocate.me job board 4 years ago (https://news.ycombinator.com/item?id=26360779) and got some good feedback from the community.
However, due to massive layoffs, a reduced number of tech hires, and less VC investment in the space, we had crazy turbulence and had to pivot our project.
A job board for developers, it has evolved into the ultimate platform for anyone looking to relocate—whether for work, to start a business, to reunite with family, or more.
Imagine a platform that offers:
- Salary data by country
- Tax guides and up-to-date income tax calculators
- Cost of living and healthcare overviews
- Visa options for workers, digital nomads, and entrepreneurs
- An international job board featuring relocation and remote opportunities
- Curated lists of companies that hire internationally
- A directory of relocation services and companies for a smoother move
- Guides for international job searches and global hiring
- A blog with expat stories, immigration updates, and other useful tips
Starting in January 2025, we’ll host webinars with relocation experts on various topics, mainly visas. Topics include Portugal’s visa options, moving to Canada with a U.S. contract, Germany’s job seeker visa, etc.
Very soon, we'll also offer services through our trusted global partners, including:
- Tax consulting
- Visa assistance
- Residence by investment and international housing searches
- Opening a business abroad
- Adaptation services to help you settle into a new country
For employers and government organizations, we’ll continue offering job posting services to connect them with thousands of global job seekers.
As always, any feedback from the Hacker News community will be greatly appreciated and I hope to see some of you among our users.

18. Show HN: Stretch AI, open-source robotics stack powered by LLMs
URL: https://github.com/hello-robot/stretch_ai
Author: cpaxton
Description: I've been working on Stretch AI, a set of tools for building general-purpose robots and I'm excited to release them today. Stretch AI is an open-source codebase for autonomy, including grasping, manipulation, and navigation, on the lightweight, human-safe, and low-cost Hello Stretch robot. I've been running experiments in my own home (and others) for quite a while now.
You can use different LLMs, either paid like OpenAI or open-source like Qwen/Gemma, and use them to tell the robot things like "pick up the stuffed toy and put it away in the box." Robot will explore, find the necessary objects, and complete the task.
We also have a bunch of tools for learning from demonstration and generally building robotics applications. Tons of docs here: https://github.com/hello-robot/stretch_ai/
On a personal note, I've been a robotics researcher for a very long time, and I think, unquestionably, that the biggest problem with robotics research is that we don't have good software that makes it easy to share and test models, and we don't have common platforms. This is sort of my attempt to change that.

URL: https://www.instagram.com/connectionsbot/
Author: eliblock
Description: If you message my instagram account it will try to match you with other people messaging it. It works by comparing conversations one by one with chatgpt until a match is found. Not very efficient of course but I think I can get better results than a search. And if you can match with a certain quality, I think you can have a kind of recommendation-only social network where you don’t have to broadcast to a bunch of people to get connected.
Would love to hear about similar projects, I’m interested in any kind of “multiplayer” AI, where AI is a kind of mediator. Also open to collaborating! https://www.linkedin.com/in/eliblock

How it works:
- Simple API call during the purchase process to generate a key
- Simple API call during the redeeming process to validate a key
- Dashboard with the overview of all codes and their status

32. Show HN: Cerbos. Open source, horizontally scalable, stateless authorization
URL: https://github.com/cerbos/cerbos
Author: emreb
Description: Cerbos PDP, policy decision point, is an open source authorization layer that can evolve as your product grows. It enables developers to define powerful, context-aware access control in simple, intuitive, and testable policies. Cerbos runs in your own environment.
We started working on Cerbos[0] over 3 years ago. Permission management across applications is difficult, especially as the code base grows: you have hundreds of users, many services in different languages, and several environments. Hardcoded access control rules tangled with business logic make every new role and permission change a hassle to write, test, and maintain.
Cerbos PDP[1], is an open source, self-hosted, and a stateless solution to solve access rule consistency in a scalable manner across the entire code base. It truly scales horizontally and is used by hundreds of companies. Check out how Cerbos works[2].
Cerbos also has a playground[3] which lets you author policies and in real time see their impact in the application you are developing.
I would love to hear your feedback.

33. Show HN: Shaped – Fine-tuning semantic search on behavioral signal
URL: https://play.shaped.ai/dashboard/home
Author: tullie
Description: When OpenAI released Learning Transferable Visual Models From Natural Language Supervision in 2021, it sparked a multimodal semantic search revolution. While the concept wasn’t new, the paper catalyzed a shift in the industry, inspiring a wave of semantic search tools. These advances delivered a leap forward in search quality compared to traditional lexical search, with adopters reporting significant improvements in conversion rates and revenue.
But semantic search alone isn’t the endgame. Productionizing search remains a challenge, and hybrid search—combining keyword precision with semantic depth—is still found in the state-of-the-art for relevancy. The next frontier lies in sophisticated reranking techniques, particularly learning-to-rank (LTR) models. By leveraging behavioral signals and user preferences, these approaches optimize search outcomes far beyond just query relevance, enabling personalized and adaptive experiences. Such models dynamically tailor search results based on historical interactions, user context, and business objectives, balancing relevance, diversity, and fairness. The result? Smarter, more impactful search that drives better user experiences and business outcomes.
We built Shaped on the belief that LTR is the future of content & product discovery, and that includes LTR for search. Taking the benefits of personalization as an example – why should every user get the same results when their needs and behaviors differ?
Shaped is a platform designed to bring AI-native search to the 99%. With an emphasis on easy integration, rapid experimentation, and flexible configurability, developers can deploy advanced search and recommendation systems in less than a sprint.
Here's how it works:
Connect your datastack, including multi-modal item catalog and optional real-time event streams. Choose your objective (e.g., clicks, new-user activation) using a flexible value-model interface. By default, Shaped selects the optimal search architecture, including search type and reranking models, however, you can configure all of this manually. Shaped deploys and orchestrates the infrastructure, models and pipelines needed for a scalable, AI-native search engine with continuous indexing and learning-to-rank model training. Access a UI for performance monitoring and result exploration.
Check out our demo sandbox at (play.shaped.ai) and try the text query input. We’d love your feedback and thoughts on how to push AI powered search further!

34. Show HN: Open source video calls on a WiFi AP with meshing to the cloud
URL: https://github.com/atomirex/umbrella
Author: fidotron
Description: I'm releasing an early version of a minimal WebRTC SFU video relay server, with the major differentiators being it can easily run on OpenWrt and it has the ability to trunk all tracks to the cloud, and vice versa:
Code: https://github.com/atomirex/umbrella
Demo: https://x.com/atomirex/status/1863956802984984728
* Golang with Pion. Runs on lots of things (including OpenWrt APs, Macs, Linux containers)
* Typescript/React client, with protobuf based signalling, works with Chrome, Firefox and Safari
* "Backhaul" means SFUs can act as clients to other SFUs, and then forward everything they receive
* Reasonably stable, including as you start/stop/start/stop backhauls and participants come and go repeatedly
This is very early days, but you can have four 720P participants on a D-Link AX3200 access point, and it will only use about 25% of the CPU. I should test with more!
If you try it let me know how it goes.

35. Show HN: Yeah.coffee – A Simple Tool to Improve Your Espresso
URL: https://yeah.coffee
Author: waddaleche
Description: Hey HN!
I’m thrilled to share a little project I’ve been working on: yeah.coffee. It’s a straightforward tool designed to help anyone — whether you’re an espresso newbie or a seasoned coffee geek — dial in better shots.
Here’s how it works:
1) Brew your espresso like you normally would.
2) Enter details like your grind setting, coffee dose, yield, and shot time.
3) Taste your shot and tell the tool what flavors stood out (sour, bitter, flat, etc.).
4) Get practical tips to tweak your next brew.
I built this because I know how frustrating it can be to pull a shot that just doesn’t taste right. With multiple variables in play, it’s hard to know where to start making adjustments. My goal with yeah.coffee is to take out some of the guesswork and help more people enjoy the process of making great espresso at home. It’s super simple, free, and works right in your browser. If you love coffee (or just love tinkering), I’d be so excited for you to give it a try and let me know what you think.
Check it out: https://yeah.coffee.

42. Show HN: eBook Defender – No DRM Invisible Watermarking Tool
URL: https://ebookdefender.travis.plus/
Author: TravisPeacock
Description: My first real "business" was running one of the largest ebook piracy sites in the world. One thing that pops up when talking to people who upload is they are far more hesitant to share books they have bought when they are worried that they will have hidden watermarks on them.
I also hate DRM. It’s a pain for legitimate users and trivial for someone like me to remove. So I've built Ebook Defender (name a work in progress) a tool to invisibly watermark ebooks without DRM. The watermarks are unnoticeable to readers and don’t affect formatting.
This is a working demo. You can upload an EPUB, add a watermark, and verify it. The full version supports more formats and can scan sites for watermarked copies (this largely uses existing technology, it will follow Usenet, Torrents, and also automatically track sites like mobilism etc).
The reason this isn't a fully featured SaaS or something is honestly, I don't know where to go from here. My background isn't in this space, my contacts within this space don't exactly return my emails, and I don't know what to do with it. Please feel free to break it!
I would love your feedback on any part of this whole thing.

It's a lot to read so we wrote a blog post summarising the main takeaways here https://www.zenml.io/blog/llmops-lessons-learned-navigating-...
The database is free and designed to help engineering teams learn from others' practical experiences deploying LLMs. I'm particularly interested in hearing about:
- What specific implementation patterns you'd like to see analyzed (contribute more case studies via the link on the database's main page)
- Additional case studies you think should be included
- How you're handling non-deterministic outputs in production
Looking forward to your feedback and contributions!

54. Show HN: My user feedback manager is out of beta
Author: jean1591
Description: The project It all started when I heard a podcast about a developer struggling to figure out why his app wasn’t converting free users into paid ones. His solution? Offering extended free trials for every user who gave feedback.
I shared the idea with a friend who told me, "You should turn this into a business!" That’s when Feeedbackr was born: a tool to help solopreneurs turn feedback into actionable insights.
Why did I do this ? While researching the market, I discovered that most competitors were offering $100+/month subscriptions packed with features that solopreneurs would rarely use. I wanted something simple, effective, and transparent: collect, analyze, and restitute user feedback. That’s why Feeedbackr uses a credit-based model—no subscriptions, no surprises. You pay only for what you use.
Problems Messy AI-generated code I started the project by experimenting with AI coding tools. Big mistake. The result was chaotic, and I realized I either needed to improve my prompting skills or go back to writing clean code myself. Lesson learned: don’t rely too heavily on AI for code.
MVP scope creep When building a feedback tool, it’s tempting to add fancy features like an embedded widget right from the start. But I had to constantly remind myself to keep it MVP-focused. The goal is to ship something lean and functional, then iterate.
Security concerns Users can choose between Feeedbackr’s hosted portal or their own custom setup via API. But how do I ensure feedback submitted through the API is legit? The solution: apiKey protection. It’s simple, secure, and keeps the system trustworthy.
Putting myself out there I want this project to succeed, so for the first time in my solopreneur journey, I’m actively reaching out to users. From cold messages to building a waitlist, I’m stepping outside my comfort zone to make Feeedbackr work. It’s been scary, but worth it.

55. Show HN: I built a Chrome extension to declutter ChatGPT
Author: fliellerjulian
Description: Hey HN,
Like many of you, I’ve been using ChatGPT to brainstorm, debug code, and even plan projects. But as the number of conversations grew, I found myself scrolling endlessly trying to find old chats. It was frustrating and unproductive. So, I built PinFold – a Chrome extension to help manage and organize ChatGPT conversations.
With PinFold, you can:
Pin important chats for quick access. Organize conversations into folders (e.g., personal vs. work-related). Declutter your ChatGPT history and boost productivity. It's privacy-focused: no data is sent to external servers – everything is stored locally on your machine or synced through Chrome.
This is my first solo project for Chrome extensions, and I’d love to hear what you think. Your feedback (both good and critical) would mean a lot! Are there any features you'd want to see added?
Also, if you’re solving similar problems around personal productivity, I’d be excited to hear about your approach!
Thanks for checking it out, Julian

56. Show HN: Rechat – An Open-Source v0
URL: https://github.com/integration-os/rechatai
Author: spatar0
Description: Hey HN - Dan here, co-founder of IntegrationOS (a Rust-based, open-source universal API).
We just shipped Rechat - an open-source v0 for building apps on top of Postgres, BigQuery, Google Sheets, Airtable and other DBs/APIs.
We love tools like Vercel's v0 and how they empower developers, but feel closed code bases create black boxes for teams wanting to ship production AI. They also don’t integrate well with business systems, which is why we built a fully integrated, open and transparent equivalent. Rechat is licensed under MIT.
Here's the demo: <https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=Uj2PstbdMyo>
Today, Rechat's stack is:
▪ Anthropic's Claude for design and frontend code ▪ OpenAI's ChatGPT for intent distillation and code review ▪ Clerk for auth ▪ Convex for realtime data storage ▪ IntegrationOS for realtime integrations
The code is fully available on GitHub and we're looking for contributors and feedback!
