1. Show HN: Aesthetic Computer – Runtime and social network for creative computing
URL: https://aesthetic.computer
Author: aesthetic_cpu
Description: Aesthetic Computer is a mobile-first runtime and social network for creative computing.
AC's client interface is designed to function like a musical instrument, on which users discover their own memorizable paths in the network of commands and published pieces. As users grow their literacy through play and exploration, they are able to improvise, recombine, and expand their performable repertoire.
I started writing Aesthetic Computer in 2021 because I desired new tools to author, publish and connect the creative software toys I had been making in my art and education practice for 10+ years. The last of these before AC was https://nopaint.art, discussed here on HN in 2020.[0]
*** How To ***
Visit https://aesthetic.computer and press the top left of the screen or type any key to activate the prompt. In the AC prompt, enter names of built-in toy and utility pieces like notepat
[1], or boyfriend
and those published by user handles like @bash/hub
.
Return to the prompt by pressing the name at the top left corner, your browser's back button or the [Esc], [], or [Backspace] keyboard shortcuts.<p>Enter
listat the prompt for a scrollable index of pieces and commands.<p>Most of AC is open to anonymous users. Some pieces like
chator
moodsrequire a registered @handle to fully participate and post data.<p>Every piece on AC is URL addressable. For example, users who enjoy using
notepatcan skip the prompt entirely by bookmarking <a href="https://aesthetic.computer/notepat" rel="nofollow">https://aesthetic.computer/notepat</a>.<p>QR codes to share any piece can be generated by prefixing the piece with
shareat prompt as in
share notepat`.
Here are a some recipes to try:
A. Make a Painting
1. Enter `new 128` to start a new 128x128 pixel painting.
2. Enter `rect red` and drag to paint red (or any CSS color) rectangles.
(Or try other primitive brushes like `line`, `shape`, and `fill`.)
3. Press the command name in the top left corner to return to `prompt`.
(Or use the [Esc], [Backspace], or [`] on the keyboard.)
4. Enter `smear` and drag to use a pixel scattering brush, then return to `prompt`.
5. Enter `dl` to download a timestamped PNG, `done` to publish the painting on AC
servers, or `print` to mail order a real sticker.
B. Play a Melody
1. Enter `+` to open a second prompt window.
2. Enter `metronome 120` in the second prompt window to keep rhythm at 120 BPM.
3. Enter `notepat` in the first prompt window to play tones in regular time.
(Or try `bleep:sine 4x4` for a randomized playable tone matrix.)
- Bonus -
4. Record a `notepat` performance as a 7s looping, downloadable video
by entering `tape notepat`.
5. Play `notepat` in person with others by generating a QR code
via `share notepat`.
C. Say "hi" in chat
.
1. Enter `imnew` or press [I'm New] on a deactivated prompt to register.
2. Verify your email.
3. Set a @handle by entering `handle ur-handle-here`.
4. First-time handle setters are automatically routed to `chat`.
5. Say "hi" and request technical help from myself (@jeffrey) and others.
To dive in more you can read the technical history[2] or try coding your own AC
piece[3].---

3. Show HN: AI bot that automatically processes unstructured documents
URL: https://www.loom.com/share/3785f8632b114afebcb17061fa368b13
Author: zizhouwang
Description: Hi HN!
We’re excited to share what we’ve been working on—a bot that automates the tedious task of processing unstructured documents from emails and entering them into ERPs. After many iterations, we’ve achieved 99.8% accuracy in extracting and mapping data from invoices, POs, and other documents.
One surprising takeaway from this journey: building the AI was only 10% of the challenge! The real work came from handling edge cases, integrating seamlessly with various ERPs, and creating a reliable pipeline for real-world documents with messy formats.
We’d love your feedback, thoughts, or questions about how we built this, the challenges we faced, or anything else. Let us know what you think!
Thanks for checking it out!

10. Show HN: Best way to setup a fullstack webapp using AI to get >97% code accuracy
URL: https://github.com/vivek100/oneShotCodeGen
Author: weebhek
Description: Best way is to create as much context as you can for your project. Agents do it by prompting you again and but still get lost.
My Solution: A python script that generates code with custom prompts and chaining in following order:
User prompt -> Functional doc -> Technical doc -> Backend code -> Frontend code
Using this approach the script forces the AI to document and save all of its assumptions and code decisions. To increase its accuracy it uses custom prompts and also adds on output of previous steps as context to generate response for next step. Its open source and free available here :- https://github.com/vivek100/oneShotCodeGen
Link to two projects generated via this script: https://github.com/vivek100/oneShotCodeGen/tree/main/example...

11. Show HN: Mammal – (Yet another) LLM client built on Tauri
URL: https://github.com/jcuenod/mammal
Author: jcuenod
Description: Mammal is an LLM client built on Tauri. It supports a bunch of providers (esp. the openai API compatible ones). It's a side project borne out of my desire to have a local store of my LLM interactions, and I took it as a chance to experiment with building on Tauri.
Lots of my experimentation with prompting is with productionizing prompts in mind, so I have lots of thoughts about moving in that direction. But the basic client is useful right now (if not entirely bug-free).
Feedback welcome :)

What I did different: Pay-as-you-go pricing with no subscriptions, Simple integrated workflow from keyword research to grouping, to content briefing, Large scale keyword grouping to identify which keywords can be targeted with a single piece of content using live Google search data for accuracy. 18. Show HN: A data oriented TodoMVC using Replicant
URL: https://github.com/anteoas/replicant-todomvc
Author: cospaia
Description: Data oriented. It's been a theme throughout my rather long career. Especially the last five or so years, when I've been using Clojure in anger. But even with Clojure there are a lot of not fully data oriented ways of doing things. Building frontends (which I do for a living) has been particularly tricky to keep as data oriented as I wish. Enter Replicant https://github.com/cjohansen/replicant
Replicant is one of those libraries which make you say “I can't believe this is not React”. But it really isn't React. It brings 90% of the benefits of React, without bringing in that whole world of churn and not-so-data-oriented ways of doing things. Replicant has zero dependencies. It is created by Christian Johansen, a developer as data oriented as they come. To get where Replicant, and this TodoMVC example, comes from, have a watch at Christians JavaZone Oslo 2023 talk, Stateless Data-driven UIs https://2023.javazone.no/program/85f23370-440f-42b5-bf50-4cb...
As Replicant is a library, and not a framework, there are as many ways to use it to build TodoMVC as there are developers. This example takes inspiration from my previous favorite UI libraries, Reagent and re-frame, from which I use what I think are their best ideas. The example implements a tiny (less than 50 loc) framework and then leverages that to create perhaps the most data oriented TodoMVC ever (I am expecting to be shown a lot of examples that are as, or more, data oriented). The unit tests in the example take advantage of this and test things that you normally need to bring in browser drivers to test. The example is finished, but the tests are work in progress (about 30% done, I think).
I've tried to make the example super easy to clone and play with. And I've tried to make the README be clear and useful to understand the example and what's unique with it. Please give it a spin and tell me what you think! If you want to help with test coverage, that would be awesome too.

19. Show HN: Pull Request Reviewed by LLM
URL: https://github.com/presubmit/ebank-backend/pull/13
Author: bdstanga
Description: This year I’ve reviewed more than 1000 code changes. Most of the time was spent catching obvious mistakes rather than debating complex design decisions. If we estimate So I thought: could I get some of that time back using LLMs? That's why I spent the last few weekends building an LLM-based prereviewer that should take a first pass before the actual human reviewer. The results so far are promising: I estimate it can reduce the review time by 50%, which in my case would mean I save 80hours (10 minutes per review, that’s 160+ hours spent reviewing code in just one year.10 working days) per year.
Linked above is an example of a PR where I'm testing the AI reviewer and it showcase how it can detect bugs, suggest best practices about token validity, generate summary and title, and even chat with me in review comments.
The AI reviewer is a simple Github action that runs everytime I open or synchronize a pull request and you can see the source code at https://github.com/presubmit/ai-reviewer.

20. Show HN: Realtime AI and Telephony and DTMF
URL: https://github.com/ShayneP/phone-assistant
Author: Sparlo
Description: People are getting used to home assistants sounding good, they already have high expectations. But when you hear a robot that you ASSUME is dumb respond in an intelligent way, it feels very strange.
I've been building a bunch of different demos lately to showcase different facets of Realtime & LLM capabilities —— and even though Telephony + Voice seems like a somewhat boring combination —— it was one of my favourites to demo & use.
I don't really know why, but it's extremely jarring to hear a DTMF robot respond intelligently if you say something unexpected.
I'd love to hear any other ideas of a "dumb" robot that I can try to add realtime AI to —— it really rekindles the feeling of magic that I had ~2 years ago with the launch of ChatGPT.

Author: namukang
Description: Hi HN!
I've been building browser automation tools for several years now [0] so when Anthropic came out with Computer Use, I made a Chrome extension to try it out: https://autobrowser.ai
My general takeaways from building on Computer Use:
- It's fun to play around with but not yet reliable enough for real-world usage
- It's expensive! ("go to youtube and play a video about orcas" costs around $0.05)
- It performs WAY better if you send it screenshots after every action rather than waiting for it to ask you for one (but this also increases the cost)
This is a fun experiment so it's free to use with your own API key. Try it out and let me know what you think!

29. Show HN: Codebrew – An open-source AI-powered development workflow (early stage)
URL: #
Author: jvanveen
Description: Hi HN! I'm working on a suite of open-source developer tools, and I'd love to get early feedback on the approach and architecture.
What I'm building: Codebrew is an AI-powered development workflow tool that aims to automate ticket management, code reviews, and time tracking. It's part of a planned ecosystem alongside two other tools I've been developing: Pyrite (real-time collaboration) and Expressio (i18n automation).
Current status:
• Expressio: Working alpha (https://codeberg.org/garage44/workspace/src/branch/main/pack...)
- Automatic i18n with DeepL
- Built with Bun
- Already being used in small projects
• Pyrite: Being refactored
- Moving from Vue to Preact
- Real-time collaboration platform
- Built on Galène SFU
• Codebrew: Early development
- Integrating Claude for ticket refinement
- Building Wakapi integration for time tracking
- Planning GitHub/GitLab/Forgejo integrations
Tech stack:
• Backend: Bun/Node.js
• Frontend: Preact
• AI: Claude/Anthropic
• All open-source under MIT license
Why I'm building this: As a solo developer, I found myself spending too much time on routine tasks. While there are many great tools out there, they often feel disconnected or too complex for smaller teams. I'm aiming for something that's both powerful and lightweight.
The vision:
1. Keep each tool useful on its own
2. Build toward optional integration (project name: Nexus)
3. Focus on developer experience and automation
4. Stay open-source while building sustainable features
Looking for:
• Feedback on the architecture and approach
• Potential early adopters/testers
• Contributors interested in any of the components
• Thoughts on what features would be most valuable
Links:
• Workspace: https://codeberg.org/garage44/garage44
• Expressio docs: https://codeberg.org/garage44/garage44/src/branch/main/packa...
• Development blog: https://garage44.org
I know it's early days, but I believe in building in public and would love to hear your thoughts, especially from developers who've faced similar challenges in their workflows.

30. Show HN: WeSQL – Agile MySQL with S3-Based Storage
URL: https://wesql.io/
Author: west0n
Description: WeSQL is an innovative MySQL distribution that adopts a compute-storage separation architecture, with storage backed by S3 (and S3-compatible systems). It can run on any cloud, ensuring no vendor lock-in.
WeSQL has completely replaced MySQL’s traditional disk storage with S3. All MySQL data—binlogs, schemas, storage engine metadata, WAL, and data files—are entirely (not partially!) stored as objects in S3. The 11 nines of durability provided by S3 significantly enhances data reliability. Additionally, WeSQL can start from a clean, empty instance, connect to S3, load the data, and begin serving immediately with no additional setup required.
It is ideal for users who need an easy-to-manage, cost-effective, and developer-friendly MySQL database solution, especially for those needing support for both Serverless and BYOC (Bring Your Own Cloud).
Feel free to start trying WeSQL in your development and testing environments!

Unlike similar SaaS solutions, the goal is not to replace the human reviewer but to highlight obvious mistakes early, spot security vulnerabilities and give more context about the change. I like to think of it as a “pre-reviewer”.
Some of its features are:

Diverse Styles: We support a variety of styles to ensure you can find a logo that matches your brand's identity. 3. Iterative Optimization: If the initial results don't meet your expectations, you can continue to generate a new set of 16 logos or enrich your description and regenerate.
Currently, Logo Spark generates logos in about 10 seconds, but I'm working on optimizations with the goal of reducing the generation time to 3-5 seconds to provide even faster service.
I am looking forward to everyone's guidance and feedback. Logo Spark is fully operational, and you can visit our website to try generating logos for your brand or project. Any suggestions you have will be crucial for our product improvements.

38. Show HN: Growflyer – Automate Your Business Marketing in Minutes
URL: https://dash.growflyer.com/login
Author: kaizarbharmal
Description: Hi HN, I'm Kaizar!
I built Growflyer after countless frustrations with losing website visitors without understanding why. Our goal is simple: give you the insights you need to engage visitors before they leave your site.
What Makes Growflyer Different? Watch Users in Action: With our Session Replay feature, you can see exactly where visitors drop off or get frustrated. It’s like having a 24/7 live user test session, helping you pinpoint and fix problem areas.
Smart Exit-Intent Popups & Notifications: We trigger personalized messages just before visitors leave, like targeted offers or reminders. It’s about catching their attention at the exact right moment.
Simple, Custom User Segmentation: Broad analytics can be overwhelming. We let you create precise user segments (e.g., returning visitors, casual browsers) and deliver content that speaks directly to them.
Real-Time Data, Real-Time Actions: Track visitor behavior as it happens with our live analytics. See campaign results, engagement levels, and drop-offs in real time.
Boost Credibility with Social Proof: Show your site’s live activity with notifications like “500 people are viewing this.” These small nudges build trust and urgency, encouraging action.
Our Story We started Growflyer after noticing these gaps while working on various web projects. Instead of piecing together multiple tools—analytics, exit-intent plugins, engagement software—we decided to build a unified platform that offers actionable insights and immediate engagement tools.
We recently launched on Product Hunt and are excited to bring Growflyer to a broader audience. I’d love to hear your feedback or answer any questions!

**Description**: Been experimenting with Replit Agent. Initially made a link tree style site, but had issues deploying it despite successfully setting up payments, chat between creators and brands, and some analytics. It was frustrating at times, but I kept working through the problems and finally got this deployment up and running.<p>I’m excited to share UteHaven, a peer-to-peer ute hire service for tasks like moving furniture or trips to the rubbish tip. Built using Replit Agent and the PERN stack, it features Stripe payments and chat functionality coming soon.

## 48. Show HN: A Marble Madness-inspired WebGL game we built for Netlify
**URL**: [https://5-million-devs.netlify.com/](https://5-million-devs.netlify.com/)
**Author**: franck
**Description**: Hello HN! We’re a small creative studio specializing in real-time 3D experiences. Netlify approached us to design and build an interactive experience to celebrate reaching 5 million developers.<p>Inspired by the classic game Marble Madness, we created a gamified experience where users control a ball through playful, interactive levels. The goal was to blend marketing content with the look and feel of a game to engage users.<p>The app is built with Three.js [1], using our custom render pipeline and shaders, and uses Rapier for physics simulation [2]. The 2D content is overlaid on the WebGL view using CSS 3D transforms for a seamless integration with the 3D view.<p>We’d love for you to try it out and share your thoughts!<p>[1] <a href="https://threejs.org" rel="nofollow">https://threejs.org</a><p>[2] <a href="https://rapier.rs" rel="nofollow">https://rapier.rs</a><p>EDIT: More info on this project here: <a href="https://www.littleworkshop.fr/projects/5milliondevs/" rel="nofollow">https://www.littleworkshop.fr/projects/5milliondevs/</a>

## 49. Show HN: DocComment – Code understanding tool using structural analysis and LLM
**URL**: [https://doccomment.com](https://doccomment.com)
**Author**: rickliu
**Description**: I built DocComment to solve the challenge of understanding unfamiliar code quickly, whether it's legacy code, AI-generated, or poorly documented.<p>The key technical difference from existing tools like Copilot's commenting feature is that DocComment analyzes code structure before generating explanations. It builds a structural representation of both the specific code snippet and its broader context, allowing the LLM to generate more precise and contextual documentation. It's not competing against Copilot or Cursor, but rather work with them.<p>Technical details:<p>1. Operates alongside code without modifying source files<p>2. Uses structural analysis to determine appropriate detail level for comments<p>3. Focuses on explaining both local code behavior and broader business context<p>4. Integrates with git repos for full codebase context(Planning)<p>Current results show improved accuracy compared to pure LLM-based commenting systems, particularly for:<p>1. Large functions with complex logic<p>2. Code with unclear variable names<p>3. AI-generated code<p>4. Business logic heavy sections<p>Would love feedback from the HN community. Both business and techincal perspectives are welcomed.

**Description**: Howdy!<p>I get more work done when I'm body doubling - my brain is odd like that - so I built a nifty silent coworking website where you share your deep work commitments with others in the room.<p>Most other coworking systems need registration, use video & audio and require scheduling, but I'm a simple impatient man.<p>I also wanted to experiment with a new websocket system, a new OpenGraph API system, and document picture in picture, so I built Deep Work Den last weekend and I've been using it every day since.<p>I've linked to the den I'm working in right now, but you can setup your own and invite friends/colleagues too if you fancy.<p>Does body doubling help you? Is focusmate / thesukha 30 times better? :D

## 52. Show HN: Rebels in the sky – Terminal game about space pirates
**URL**: [https://github.com/ricott1/rebels-in-the-sky](https://github.com/ricott1/rebels-in-the-sky)
**Author**: discoinverno
**Description**: Rebels in the sky is a P2P multiplayer game about crews of space pirates roaming the galaxy to play basketball against each other. It's basically a basketball managerial game with some pirate-y stuff. It's a P2P game with no central server, built on top of libp2p. Players interaction are limited to playing games against each other and trading pirates.<p>The game runs as a terminal application, meaning that you just need to run it from your terminal.<p>You can try the game over ssh without installing: `ssh frittura.org -p 3788`<p>My server is not very powerful and there is a limit to the number of concurrent players, so if you like it I would appreciate it if you could install it (<a href="https://github.com/ricott1/rebels-in-the-sky?tab=readme-ov-file#installation">https://github.com/ricott1/rebels-in-the-sky?tab=readme-ov-f...</a>) and run it locally :)<p>Here is a trailer (not of the last version, so some little things are different): <a href="https://github.com/user-attachments/assets/aaa02f04-06db-4da5-8fa4-732b60083e66">https://github.com/user-attachments/assets/aaa02f04-06db-4da...</a>

## 54. Show HN: I solved my my issues with massive Google Sheets.
**URL**: [https://www.sheetslord.com/](https://www.sheetslord.com/)
**Author**: Ad_stefnum
**Description**: You’ve been there. You open your Google Sheet, expecting to do a quick task. Five minutes, tops. Instead, what greets you is chaos—a never-ending matrix of cells, columns that stretch into oblivion, and rows that blur together like static on a screen. Somewhere in this mess is the data you need, but finding it feels like navigating a maze with no exit.<p>I was having this horrible issue when I wanted to do some fast work on some sensitive data without messing things up. Oh well.<p>You scroll. You search. You second-guess. Was it under “John Smith” or “Smith, John”? Is this column even the right year? By the time you spot the row, you’ve spent 10 minutes unraveling the mystery. But now, you’ve got a new problem: editing. One wrong click, and your sensitive data is overwritten. You’re sweating bullets, hoping CTRL+Z will save you from the pit.<p>And forget about forms. You wish you had one set up, but now? Too late. Copying every header, aligning it with your data, and praying nothing breaks? Good luck. Google Forms, as you realize too late, is a one-way street—great for gathering data, useless for managing it.<p>This isn’t data management. It’s a dumpster fire.
I built sheetslord.com to solve the issue. Check it out if will help you.

## 55. Show HN: C, C++, and Java formatter based on Clang for Node.js
**URL**: [https://github.com/lumirlumir/npm-clang-format-node](https://github.com/lumirlumir/npm-clang-format-node)
**Author**: beenzinozino
**Description**: Hello,<p>I’m excited to share the release of a new C, C++, and Java formatter based on Clang for the Node.js environment. This project is a fresh take inspired by Angular’s deprecated `clang-format` package.<p>I previously introduced this project a month or two ago, but I’m sharing it again as it has become even more stable and new features have been added. Thanks to the interest and support from the community, and the adoption by legacy users, the package recently hit over 10,000 weekly downloads. I am deeply grateful for this support.<p>This package now has full test coverage and a PR is in progress to replace the old Angular `clang-format` in the Node.js core with this updated package. While it’s thoroughly tested, there could still be edge cases I might have missed, so any feedback is welcome!<p>---<p>The package leverages Clang’s `clang-format`, known for its widespread use in formatting C, C++, and Java code. Think of it as similar to Prettier, but specifically for languages like C, C++, and Java, which Prettier does not support.<p>This formatter is especially useful in the Node.js environment when you’re working on projects that mix JavaScript with C/C++ code, such as core Node.js development. The package eliminates the need to install additional dependencies for using `clang-format`. While the previous `clang-format` package was challenging to integrate into Node.js and npm workflows, this new package streamlines the process. You can easily set it up in CI by simply downloading it via npm and configuring your scripts, which makes it much easier to use in automated environments.<p>---<p>With the recent update to version 1.2.0, we’ve added several new features, notably the `git-clang-format` package.<p>Let’s consider a scenario where you want to introduce code formatting for a C/C++ project. In smaller projects, you can reformat all the code at once without causing too much disruption. However, in larger projects, reformatting the entire codebase at once can make commit history harder to track.<p>Now, let’s imagine a developer modifies 100 lines within a 1,000-line codebase. Instead of reformatting the entire file, it would be better to check and format only the modified lines. This keeps the commit history clean and consistent. Additionally, as the project evolves, formatting becomes more uniform over time. `git-clang-format` helps achieve this by allowing formatting to be applied only to modified lines, similar to how `lint-staged` checks only staged files to optimize CI speed.<p>I’ve also wrapped `git-clang-format` as a standalone package, leveraging LLVM’s native support for this feature. The detailed instructions are available in the official documentation, though currently only in English.<p>Thank you for reading, and please feel free to leave any questions or feedback!<p>Official Documentation: [<a href="https://clang-format-node.lumir.page](https://clang-format-node.lumir.page)" rel="nofollow">https://clang-format-node.lumir.page](https://clang-format-n...</a>
