I’m sorry, but I need the text you would like to be translated. Please provide the content you want me to work on.: This is a proof-of-concept for an open source camera that takes advantage of image upscaling to send less data. The model upscales images on the client side. It’s far from perfect but works well enough to show off some ideas. As far as I know, there aren’t any commercially available satellite game cameras you can just buy off the shelf easily. Well now you can just build one. Feel free to ask me any questions.

It seems there might have been a misunderstanding; I need the actual text you’d like me to translate. Please provide the text, and I’ll be happy to assist you!: We’re excited to announce that we’ve open-sourced LeanRL, a lightweight PyTorch reinforcement learning library that provides recipes for fast RL training using torch.compile and CUDA graphs. By leveraging these tools, we’ve achieved significant speed-ups compared to the original CleanRL implementations - up to 6x faster!
Reinforcement learning is notoriously CPU-bound due to the high frequency of small CPU operations. PyTorch’s powerful compiler can help alleviate these issues, but comes with its own costs. LeanRL addresses this challenge by providing simple recipes to accelerate your training loop and better utilize your GPU.
Key results:
Why LeanRL?
- Single-file implementations of RL algorithms with minimal dependencies in the spirit of gpt-fast
Check out LeanRL on https://github.com/pytorch-labs/leanrl now!

I’m here to help with your translation needs. However, it seems you’ve only provided the word “Description” without further context. Could you please provide the full text you would like translated?: Hello HN!
Some years ago, I created an API testing tool, because most tools on the internet mainly focused on HTTP APIs, and I couldn’t find a free and satisfying one that was covering all the types of APIs I worked with in my job, like relational databases, WebSphere MQ and IIB.
Overtime, I added more and more API types support and features to the tool, to satisfy my own new requirements. In the past year, I also rewrote the entire UI of the tool to catch up with the times.
API Test Base is an API testing tool that enables users to call HTTP APIs as well as many other types of APIs, manually or automatically. The tool has GUI, and enables no-code/low-code API testing.
The tool falls in the same category as Postman, but has some highlights:
* Support many more API types than HTTP: relational database, JMS, MQTT, AMQP, IBM MQ, FTP, SFTP, IBM ACE. Even more API types can be supported in future.
* Both standalone requests and plain old test cases are supported.
* Use offline.
* HTTP stubs.
* Endpoints management.
* Built-in data table (for data driven testing). Each cell can contain multi-line text (like JSON).
* No code assertions. Placeholders in assertions.
* Neat UI.
* Theoretically faster UI and test cases execution because they run in separate processes (browser and JVM).
Please try it out https://apitestbase.io/docs/en/quick-start, and let me know your feelings, thoughts and/or questions. Thanks a lot!

I’m sorry, but I need the text that you would like me to translate. Could you please provide it?: Hey HN!
I’m the founder of Function, a platform that enables developers to run Python functions on-device. We’ve been quietly building for the past several months, but we figured we could launch some low-hanging fruit:
Function LLM patches your OpenAI client to generate embeddings on-device, both in the browser and in Node.js. The library itself is so tiny that it doesn’t even need to be a standalone library. The more interesting piece is how it uses Function to generate embeddings on-device, fully cross-platform.
For the embedding model, we’ve partnered with Nomic AI to use their nomic-embed-text-v1.5
model. We plan to add more embedding models before adding support for text generation with small LLMs.
At this point, you’re probably wondering how we differ from the likes of Ollama. Unlike the other players in the space, we believe that the whole point of on-device AI is to push as much of your app’s heavy computation to your users’ devices—not to spin up a ‘local’ AI service still running on AWS or other cloud. This way, you save tons of cash by simply not having a hosted inference service; build users’ trust with privacy by default; and have way less complicated serving infrastructure at scale.
Function handles much of the heavy lifting for you. We compile Python functions to run on Android, browser, iOS, macOS, Linux, and Windows. And we’re exhaustive in using whatever hardware (GPU, NPU, etc) or ISA (CoreML, CUDA, etc) a particular device offers.

Please provide the text you would like translated.: Hello everyone, While working on other projects, I found myself always having to connect and use SELECT * to see dummy entries or new users. I favored the CLI for monitoring my database entries, especially because I was testing and just adding dummy users + our first normal users in projects. So it became a bit tiring always having to connect to postgres, mysql and give select * queries from the CLI.

Please provide the text that you would like translated.: Hey HN,
I’m excited to share the Open-Source AI Agent I built at Qovery, which allows users to migrate workloads from Heroku to AWS, GCP, Azure, or Scaleway with Qovery in just a few minutes. As a company helping 200+ organizations optimize their cloud infrastructure, I’ve encountered many teams struggling with the manual migration of their legacy Heroku apps. I wanted to simplify that process and save people a ton of time and effort—so I built this tool.
Why I built it:
I noticed that many companies were stuck on Heroku but eager to move to AWS or other IaaS platforms to gain more control, lower costs, or for better scaling capabilities. However, the migration process was tedious, time-consuming, and often error-prone. I built this Open-Source AI Agent to solve that exact problem, making the migration seamless and user-friendly.
The tool is fully open-source, self-hostable, and designed with security in mind. It’s powered by a Golang backend that generates Terraform manifests and Dockerfiles based on your existing stack, allowing you to review and download everything before moving forward.
How it can help you:
1/ Migrate from Heroku to AWS, GCP, Azure, or Scaleway in 5 minutes: No manual intervention is needed. You provide credentials, and the system handles the rest, generating the infrastructure as code.
2/ Open-source and customizable: You can adapt the tool to your specific use case or even contribute to the project.
3/ Fully transparent: I made sure that the migration process is entirely visible, so you have control over each step.
4/ Simplifies complex migrations: Especially for teams without a dedicated DevOps engineer, this agent can bridge the gap and make the migration process accessible to developers.
Future plans:
I plan to extend support for Render, Railway, Fly.io, Vercel, and Netlify in the coming months. My goal is to help even more teams migrate from other PaaS platforms with the same ease. If you have workloads on these platforms and are interested, let us know—I’ll keep you posted when they’re available.
I’d love your feedback and contributions to the project! You can check out the code here: https://github.com/Qovery/qovery-migration-ai-agent.
Thanks for reading, and I hope this helps!

I’m Angel, a recent grad who often juggles multiple projects at once. This leads to a clutter of unrelated tabs in my browser, making it hard to stay focused and organized. To solve this, I built TabDock, a tab manager that helps me stay organized by splitting my work into different windows.
Here’s what TabDock offers:
- New Tab Dashboard: A clean new tab page with a built-in calendar for quick scheduling.

It seems you didn’t provide any specific text to translate. Please provide the text you would like me to translate, and I’ll be happy to assist you!: Hi HN,
Curious how many folks here use LaTeX in their work or study?
I built this as a solo dev to scratch my own itch: https://TexSandbox.com/
Uses a mix of Claude 3.5 Sonnet and gpt-4o/gpt-4o-mini, hosted on Vercel + Modal Labs.
I was a PM for most of my career (math before that), so was usually spending more time in emails + meetings than coding.
But I’m amazed now at how productive I can be as a single engineer with the help of tools like Claude + Cursor (and great infra / open source).
Claude helped with a lot of the coding here, as well as UX, marketing copy, legal, etc.
Just looking for feedback at this point. If there’s anything that would make this more useful for you, let me know!

Could you please provide the text you would like translated?: Hi HN,
After 9 years of running my own OpenStreetMap tile server infra for MapHub (https://news.ycombinator.com/item?id=11389989), I’ve open-sourced it and launched OpenFreeMap — offering free, unlimited map tile hosting.
OpenFreeMap provides free map hosting for websites and apps with no limits, no registration, no API keys, and no cookies. It’s also fully open-source: see the code at https://github.com/hyperknot/openfreemap and the styles at https://github.com/hyperknot/openfreemap-styles.
Why?
Using OpenStreetMap data usually requires paying for hosting or dealing with complex self-hosting. I wanted to make it easy and accessible for everyone.
How does it work?
Tiles are served directly from Btrfs partition images containing 300 million hard-linked files, avoiding the overhead of a tile server and leveraging Linux kernel file caching.
Key components:
- Tile Generation: Planetiler (https://github.com/onthegomap/planetiler)
- Hosting: Nginx serving tiles from Btrfs images on dedicated Hetzner servers.
- No Cloud Services: Optimized file serving on dedicated hardware.
How is it free and unlimited?
With enough donations and subscriptions, I hope to cover bandwidth costs.
Looking forward to your feedback!

URL: https://playground.numscript.org/
作者: superzamp
It seems like you’ve provided just the word “Description.” Could you please provide the complete text or context that you would like to have translated?: Numscript is a simple, declarative language that helps you model financial transactions. You can do quite a few things with it, such as modeling:
* Payments involving vouchers and a user’s prepaid balance
The main idea is to take the pain out of describing of a system dealing with money movements should behave in traditional languages such as JS/TS/Go/Ruby etc, landing an expressive way to model these movements of value.
It is voluntarily broad in applicability—our customers use it today for use-cases ranging from marketplaces funds orchestration to home-grown loan management systems.
Once those transactions are modeled, they are to be picked up and committed to a system-of-record, ledgering system or executed on a set of payments and banking APIs.
It was initially a DSL we bundled into our Core Ledger product at Formance (YCS21) but we’re giving it more autonomy now and started to make it standalone, with the idea that anyone could eventually bolt Numscript on top of their ledgering system. We’re also exploring to make it natively compatible with other backends.
As part of this un-bundling, we’ve just shipping a playground which lets you fiddle with it without installing anything at https://playground.numscript.org/ (it works best on desktop).
Happy to chime in on any questions!

Please provide the text you would like translated.: Hi HN,
I made a small minimalist game that uses only emoji for graphics:
This is heavily inspired by “Luck Be a Landlord”, a really fun game. I’ve been interested in making a game only using emoji for a while, and this is the first one that I managed to turn into a real game. I hope the experience is not too clunky, I’m sure there are a ton of things that could be improved. The game looks very different across different OS-es, I personally like Windows emoji the most.
I appreciate all kinds of feedback, suggestions and input.

Sorry, it looks like you didn’t provide any text for translation. Please share the text you want translated, and I’ll be glad to help!: I’ve taken a bunch of personality tests over the years, but I keep getting different results every time. It got me thinking – what’s a better (and more fun) way to really figure out who I am?
Then I had an idea: wouldn’t it be way more accurate if the people who actually know me took the test for me? They probably see things about me that I might not notice.
So, I created truembti.com – a website where your friends take the test for you, and you take it for them. I hope it’s a fun way to discover your personality type and have a good time with your friends in the process.
Please check it out, and let me know what you think!
P.S. I used Cursor to build the site, and it was a game-changer. It wrote over 90% of the code – highly recommend!

URL: https://github.com/reynaldichernando/backtrack
作者: reynaldi
Please provide the text you would like me to translate.: Hi HN! I created BackTrack, a standalone web app for your YouTube video library.
Why it exists? I made this project because I was looking for an offline YouTube video library solution with background playback. I have looked at TubeArchivist, but it requires me running my own server. In addition, I also looked at apps like NewPipe, but it is only available for Android, while I am using iOS.
How it works? For adding videos, it can be either from pasting a YouTube link, or directly search from the web app, the search result is scraped from DuckDuckGo.
For retrieving the video metadata or downloading video, it calls YouTube API for a specific android app version, which doesn’t encrypt the video URL. I think they still have this for backward compatibility, as the newer version API will return the video URL with signature/token.
And in order to bypass the CORS restriction for both DDG and YT, I am using a CORS proxy.
For storage, it uses IndexedDB, which supports storing binaries.
For background playback and media controls, it uses plain old audio tag and Media Session API.
Hope you enjoy and find it useful.

It seems like you’re asking for a translation, but I need more context or text to work with. Could you please provide the specific text you’d like me to translate?: I wrote a CLI application in Go that implements Shamir’s Secret Sharing algorithm. It allows you to split a secret string or file into n “shares”. If you have any k of the shares, you can reconstruct the original secret. If you have k-1 or fewer shares, you have no information about what the secret was other than its length. You can set any 2 <= k <= n <= 255 you like.
I had a lot of fun making this in my free time. Let me know if you have any ideas or suggestions to improve the project.

Could you please provide the text that you would like me to translate?: Hi HN! I’m Eoin, founder of Sourcetable (https://sourcetable.com).
Sourcetable is an AI-native spreadsheet that syncs with all your data. Users pair with an AI copilot that helps them do their spreadsheet work, as well as more database-centric analysis and SQL.
Soucetable syncs with databases including Postgres, MySQL, and MongoDB, and over 100+ business applications including Stripe, Zendesk, Hubspot, Quickbooks and Google Analytics. That data is available in a spreadsheet, and any models you build automatically update in near-real-time as new data flows in. The core primitives are AI + spreadsheet + data sync + storage + compute.
If you want to play with Sourcetable today, the easiest way is to upload a CSV and start asking questions.
Who is it for? Sourcetable is for analysts, operators and finance folk doing data-centric work in a spreadsheet. Sourcetable’s spreadsheet-based AI assistant understands workbook range selection and can adjust scope context to the datasets you are working with. You can talk directly to your database and SaaS integrations, which is great for analysis, data search and retrieval, SQL writing & editing (including writing joins across different datasets), and automatic chart creation.
Niching down, if you work in operations at a <50 person startup or SMB and your company relies on a Postgres or MySQL database, Sourcetable is an affordable reporting tool with turnkey data infrastructure that doesn’t require code or engineers to set up.
Spreadsheets are the most used analytical tool on the planet. AI is a platform shift with broad applications. We are staying open-minded about users and use cases since everything is so new.
Backstory: I spent ten years working in de-facto operations and technical roles at startups. Sourcetable draws from that experience of needing better data tooling inside spreadsheets, and constantly hacking ad hoc solutions to fill the gap. Andrew (CTO / co-founder) previously had a deep learning company and was initially drawn to the idea that Sourcetable could be an operating system for the web. We’re both Aussie expats in the Bay Area, which is how we met. Internally, we think of Sourcetable as an application platform, with AI applications being a useful and interesting place to focus.
Features & Use Cases: Talk to your CSV files, spreadsheets, integrations, and datasets using LLMs. AI + data work: Text-to-SQL, search and retrieval from databases, LLM-based data analysis. (This is an entirely different experience to what Copilot/Gemini & Excel/Sheets provide, since they are thin workbooks and not data platforms.) AI + spreadsheet work: formula assist, workbook analysis, data cleaning, chart creation, error handling, summarization, chat, etc. Automated reporting: data is synced, reports you build stay up to date. No-code data access: give the business team safe database access so they will leave you alone! Centralizing data for cross-channel reporting. (e.g. Postgres + Stripe + Mailchimp) Analyzing large CSV files: Sourcetable can handle multi-gigabit files. (Google Sheets can’t handle large data and the experience in Excel is rather cumbersome.)
Technical Details: Sourcetable was built to be fast. It was also built to scale.
AI: LLama 3 (via Groq), Claude, GPT-4o, LiteLLM, custom LLMs
Frontend: DuckDB, React, ShadCN, AntV / Bizcharts, Plotly, CodeMirror, Hookstate
Backend: DuckDB, Python, Cassandra, Redis, NGINX, Cloudflare
Data Eng & Transformations: Fivetran, DBT, Apache Arrow, SQLglot
Distributed Computing & Scaling: Daft, Ray, Cloud Formation
Other: Linux Namespaces, Dill (U.Queensland)
A huge thank you to the open source community, and a special shout-out to DuckDB for being so damn fast. Thank you also to Groq & Anthropic for the rate limit increases in time for this ShowHN post!

Please provide the text you would like me to translate.: I built a site to browse the Postgres mailing list archives. It supports search using full text search from Postgres + vector search with the Lantern Postgres extension.
I’ve been using it for testing but cleaned it up a bit to share. :) Hopefully it’s interesting to someone.

It seems there’s no content to translate. Could you please provide the text you’d like me to work on?: Hey everyone, today I want to share a story about my experience building Sheetany.
I’ve always struggled with writing and managing blogs while building products. Every tool I tried felt too complex or time-consuming.
I didn’t want to spend hours learning new software just to get a simple task done. That’s when I realized the need for a solution that’s easy, effective, and familiar.
So, I built Sheetany — a tool that makes writing and managing blogs effortless using just Google Sheets and Google Docs.
But it doesn’t stop there. With Sheetany, you can easily create directories, waitlists, and personal pages, all through the simplicity of Google Sheets.
People often ask me, “Why Google Sheets? Why not use something like Notion, Obsidian, or WordPress?”
The answer is simple: everyone knows how to use Google Sheets. It’s incredibly user-friendly, and there’s no need to learn yet another complicated tool.
With Sheetany, you get the best of both worlds—simplicity and effectiveness. You don’t need to be a coding wizard or a design expert to create professional blogs and websites.
Just use the tools you’re already familiar with and let Sheetany do the rest!
You can try it out here: http://sheetany.com

Please provide the text you would like me to translate.: Here is the solution for the problem: Bk2Sheet: a chrome extension to export all your bookmarks to your own google sheet. This chrome extension is 100% safe to use, since this will not capture any information about your bookmarks or any personal information.
