Please provide the text you would like translated.: Hello, community.
I have developed a new cloud storage product,Habox,with my friends. Here are some info about it.
Easily share across devices. Collaborate with multiple participants. No software installation required.
Habox is a file transfer platform that can upload and download all kinds of large files safely, conveniently and extremely quickly. Just start by ‘Create a Box’.A ‘Box’ is a separate space designed for storing or sharing files via Habox, similar to a large folder or a group. In the ‘Boxes’ section, you can view and manage all the boxes created on your devices signed in with the same account.
This is the official website: https://www.habox.com/
welcome to use it and feel free to give your feedbacks.I will take all of your advice into sincere consideration. U can contact us via ‘About’ page on Habox.
Thanks.

请提供要翻译的文本。: Hi all!
In statistics, synthetic data benchmarks are important for understanding the strengths and limitations of competing algorithms. For example, in clustering – the art of identifying groups of data points that are similar to each other – researchers typically study how algorithms perform on mock scenarios like “five oblong clusters in 2D with some overlap.”
Unfortunately, creating these scenarios typically involves a lot of work. You have to design entire data sets so they match the scenario description. In clustering, this involves selecting cluster centers, tuning covariance matrices, etc. As part of my PhD at Caltech, I have developed a high-level synthetic data generator for clustering that automates this process. You only have to describe your desired scenario in English, and the algorithm takes care of creating data sets with suitable clusters. This means researchers can easily set up benchmarks by passing scenario descriptions as a list of strings.
We have put up a demo here: https://demo.repliclust.org. Curious to hear your thoughts!

It seems like you’ve provided a title or a heading without any actual text to translate. Could you please provide the content you’d like me to translate?: Project I was excited about, then not excited about as I watched it crumble and fall apart completely. I wanted certain things to be true that were not true, and in my ignorance I committed myself to something I didn’t completely want to do [1].
But I finished [2]. Even though it’s completely distinct from what I intended to finish (apparently what I went through is called a “tarpit” idea) and not something I really want, I’m proud of it nonetheless. It’s worth mentioning also that this is my first time deciding to do something long and hard on my own.
What I learned (in order of importance):
- Basics of html, css, js, py, useful js & py packages, git, using my mac terminal [3]
- AI helps me learn and produce at an astonishing speed [4]
- Open source is my best friend
- The projects I undertake are always new to me and so their success relies on some assumptions I’ll always make about some (foreign-at-the-time) things. When I go about messing around with those things, I learn more about it and it always works differently or is way more complicated than what I thought - which has implications for my project’s success. I’ve got to confirm things work as I expect them to work and if they don’t (because they won’t), I’ve got to adjust accordingly or take that information into account before I get all excited and decide to commit to building something (because there’s no stopping that).
- The most valuable thing I have is time
[1]: I say this but building it was also the happiest I’ve ever been [a].
[2]: https://www.bytedrum.com/posts/art-of-finishing/
[3]: My life has a lot to do with aesthetics. How I feel when doing something is sometimes strongly related to how I would feel if I saw an identical me in my exact situation doing the same task = my 3rd person view on myself influences my 1st person feelings (which also influences my 3rd person view - think reading a book and seeing the mind of the character); and I can access both. That’s why, I think, it feels better to mess around in bash than python. Because the aesthetic is way cooler.
[4]: I’m a little slow when it comes to learning anything complicated but I just need someone to stick with me because I’ll stick with it. I’ve got a problem that I won’t accept things easily [b] so I won’t use things as tools if I don’t understand them so I have lots of questions about it, which tires any teacher and isn’t fair to other kids.
[a]: I say this, but working on the project also coincided with moving into college, being on my own for the first time, meeting cool people, etc.
[b]: I say this but there are plenty of things I accept without question (mostly because the alternative is probably not good).
Edit: Formatting

I’m here to help with your translation needs! Please provide the text you’d like me to translate.: With the heat of opneai o1, I launched my first AI dialogue chat tool station. In the initial development, I completely asked while writing code in front of chatgpt. After launching, I found some people to try, and the feedback was very bad, almost all were timeout and very slow. Later, I found chatbot-ui in github, and after a few days of optimization, I finally solved the timeout and stutch issues.
Now the website supports free conversations with o1-mini, welcome to try it out: https://chatgpt-o1.com
Let me know if you’d like to see more, and if you have any feedback or teasing, feel free to post below!

I need more context or content to assist with your translation. Please provide the text that you would like translated.: I’ve been interested in making a TUI application and learning Rust for a while now. Since some friends and family started playing poker, I found it a good opportunity to make my “learning Rust” project a poker TUI app. Inspired by https://github.com/shazow/ssh-chat, I also wanted to make something that could be connected to and played with just using SSH. For me, poker is usually with friends and family, so I focused the app’s target audience to be private, small-scale games, avoiding the headaches associated with scaling to some massive web-based platform.
Big thanks again to the folks that’ve already taught me some cool things about Rust and UI design.

Sure, please provide the text you would like me to translate.: This is a web app for quickly settling on where to eat as a group. (Feel free to critique the landing page.)
Unique features compared to other polling apps:
- No sign-up step.
- Enhanced Approval Voting: veto/ok/prefer. You may vote for multiple restaurant options.
- Real-time ballot updates so new candidates can be seen and voted on immediately.
- Ties are always broken randomly.
- Implemented with HTMx + hyperscript + jinja, enabling SSR and HATEOAS.
If you want to test the functionality by yourself, you can start a ballot, then copy the join link and open it in a different browser (or device). Each browser will be recognized as a separate user.
But give it a try in an actual group if you’re able to. I find it nice and satisfying to use. You can just trust that the ballot result has picked the best place to eat for your group. Let me know if you feel the same way.
Aside from designing and implementing a new voting system, the other part I’m most proud of is the join-ballot flow. The intersection of possible states creates a plethora of cases that need to be handled differently:
- The joiner may not have a user (name) -> ask for name.
- The joiner may already be in an active ballot -> confirm abandoning the current ballot to join the new one.
- The joiner may be in a completed ballot -> let them join without confirmation.
- The joiner may be trying to join the ballot they’re already in -> tell them, and let them return to their ballot.
- The joiner may have clicked their own join link as a way to get back to the ballot -> warn them to check if it has opened in a different browser.
- The ballot they’re trying to join may be completely abandoned or already finished -> tell them, then let them create a new ballot or return to their current ballot if they have one.
Just handling all these different cases was hard enough, but I think I was able to simplify the code down enough to keep it maintainable.
If I can get enough users and monetize this, maybe I can afford to add more features like maps, yelp stars, or menus by paying for Google Maps and/or Yelp Fusion API access. In the meantime, the next big feature would be persistent user accounts/logins so that a single user can sign in on different browsers/devices and have their restaurants and restaurant info (like links to Yelp pages) saved and synced — while still supporting the original minimal sign-up flow (just name). But let me know if you can think of other good features to add.

I generated it with o1-preview, simply by pasting the HTML source of a HN page to the prompt and asking it to make a comment updating script.
And it worked flawlessly — great job, OpenAI! I’m impressed. What a time to be alive!
The prompt: https://chatgpt.com/share/66eb36c5-a55c-8005-9ee1-d42770297d…

Could you please provide the text you’d like me to translate?: Shadowvane is one of the biggest, most difficult projects I’ve ever done in JavaScript. It’s a Node/Socket.io backend and Three.js front-end (custom engine).
The goal was to create a fully functional 3D MMO like World of Warcraft or Final Fantasy XIV - complete with queuing for arenas, battlegrounds, and instanced dungeons, but with the aesthetics of Bloodborne and other Soulslikes. As someone who grew up playing MMOs like Tibia, WoW, Final Fantasy 11/14, and GW2, I’ve always wanted to create an immersive 3D MMO.
A number of years ago I released a 2D browser MMO (who didn’t) but it didn’t quite scratch the itch. Just bringing this v0 to market felt like lifting a weight - something I’ve always wanted to do.
Building an MMO is a huge undertaking of diverse tasks: Music/sound, 3D modeling, networking, vector math, painting, UI, and more. Shadowvane still needs a little polish in some areas - so I’m calling this release “Open Alpha” until I’m able to make it truly look and feel like a AAA game.
-----
Shadowvane is a Soulslike MMORPG with a 1v1 PvP Arena, 5v5 Battleground, and an Open World realm where players can interact and advance their character.
Players can compete in either a 5v5 PvP match in a hellish city called Pandemonium, or a 1v1 PvP arena in The Mists.
PvE objectives are completed in Afterworld — an open world realm where players and demons alike roam free.
Build your character from a player template called a prototype. Unlock new prototypes in Afterworld to experience different play styles.

Please provide the text you would like me to translate.: Hey, HN! I’m Tuhin.
I craved a tool that allowed me to express my experience of software-development: Being delayed a lot and being frazzled a lot.
Hone is a problem solving tool for the working software developer. It allows expressing uncertainty and helps make smaller more frequent changes to a design. The hope is to have less panic and gain more precision on how to change an implementation plan.
Here’s a 12 minute in-depth video on what Hone is trying to do: https://www.idiotlamborghini.com/strategies/hone#concept-wal…
And here’s an offline demo for you to see how it feels to use: https://www.idiotlamborghini.com/strategies/hone#interactive…
It’s in early-access right now, and I still haven’t hit the experience I’m looking for, where being wrong or going down the wrong rabbit-hole doesn’t feel punishing when against a deadline. But I think it’s ready for people to try.
So, let me know what you think!

Please provide the text you would like me to translate.: Hey HN! We’re Evan, Derek, Eugene, and Jeremy, the team behind Cortex Click (https://www.cortexclick.com/). Cortex Click is an LLM-driven platform for creating high quality developer marketing content including blog posts, tutorials, documentation, and copilots for product onboarding. You can see a quick demo of the product in action here: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=mzf_wrnIrYM
You can try the product here for free, no credit card required: https://app.cortexclick.com
Building a great product is half the battle, and the other half is marketing. We’ve spent our careers working on developer tools, and have learned first hand that communicating and writing about a product is one of the hardest challenges technical founders face.
In theory, LLMs are an exciting solution to this problem. But as most readers can probably attest, the LLM writing tools we have today just don’t get the job done. We’ve written thoughts on the current state of the art and where it falls short: https://www.cortexclick.com/blog/why-do-llm-writing-tools-su…
The last thing the world needs is another platform for generating boring, generic, subpar content (“slop” in the parlance of our times). Cortex Click is built for the exact opposite purpose: to give founders, developers, marketers, and their teammates a customized, tunable platform where they can create their best writing.
We believe that quality really matters in documentation, blogs, and marketing. To generate the highest quality content possible, we employ a three-pronged strategy:
1. Grounding in your Knowledge Base: Cortex Click searches across your existing developer docs, blog posts, code examples, and other marketing materials to ground content generation, add cross-links, and match brand voice. Further, we automate the process of ingesting your knowledge base, and keeping it up to date so your audience is guaranteed the freshest content. 2. Real-Time Web Research: To fill in any gaps, the workflow performs web research against popular search engines. This augments your knowledge base with access to additional code examples, industry trends, and other facts and statistics. 3. Multi-Agent, Chain of Thought Workflow: All of this context is fed into multiple frontier models from different providers that are used in concert. We leverage the strengths of different models to plan, research, draft, review, and correct the content ultimately leading to a better result than could be achieved with any one model.
We started with a markdown editor in the browser for reasons we’re happy to discuss, but we’re already working on IDE integrations (the most commonly requested feature so far).
Our backgrounds are primarily in cloud, developer tools, search, information retrieval, and AI. We’re excited to talk shop - in particular anything related to LLM evaluations, regression testing prompt upgrades, and techniques for squeezing every last drop out of frontier models.
But most of all, we’d love to hear your feedback on what we’ve built, where it falls short, and ideas on how we could improve your workflow for writing quality developer-focused content.

Please provide the text you’d like me to translate, and I’ll be happy to assist you!: Hello HN! I posted a year ago [0] about a free job application tracker I built and got very positive response with some fantastic feedback. One problem I wanted to tackle with Rolepad since the beginning is ghosting - dropped communications by one of the sides during the interview process. It impacts both the job seekers as well as the hiring teams. Rolepad stats bear this out - out of thousands of opportunities tracked, 36% are closed with a “no reply” status.
Nobody sets out to stop replying intentionally, but the overwhelming volumes of applications sent and received, life events, priority changes, staff turnover, etc. can make even well-intentioned processes stall. We can do better. Rolepad explores the idea of connecting all of the players in the application process - candidate, hiring manager, recruiters (internal and external), and team members as needed. It balances the need for transparency (via shared application stages) with the need for privacy (e.g. sensitive notes and data not pertaining to current application).
There are separate applications for candidates (https://rolepad.com) and hiring teams (https://rolepad.com/hiring). Both support guest account access with some test data so you can try it out without signing in.
This is not intended to replace existing Applicant Tracking Systems, but rather live side-by-side (and eventually integrate with them). An ATS typically focuses on supporting internal recruiting efforts, whereas Rolepad’s goal is specifically to improve the communications between the various parties, reduce ghosting, and create a better candidate experience. For job seekers there is a fully-featured job tracker, and the additional value is unlocked once they have a recruiter/manager contact.
Happy to answer any questions. I’m not aware of unified solutions that tackle similar problems, so very interested in feedback. The tech stack is still the same as outlined in last year’s post, always happy to chat about it as well.

It seems that you’ve provided a single word “Description.” Could you please provide more context or the specific text you would like me to translate?: Hey HN! Spellcaster is a Python-based CLI tool for running spelling and grammar checks across documentation files.
LLMs are great proofreaders, and while rule-based spellcheckers exist, we noticed there wasn’t a good CLI tool that leveraged AI agents. So we built one! Spellcaster came together over a weekend at the Mintlify AI DevTools hackathon in San Francisco[0], where it won the Best Demo Award.
We ran Spellcaster against several large open source projects and identified hundreds of readability issues in their docs. Some popular ones:
* Cursor: 116 errors
* Mintlify 245
* Vercel: 1053 (My favorite was Vercel spelling “Lorem ipsum” wrong in one of their pages).
Spellcaster uses LiteLLM for easy model swapping and AgentOps for cost and error tracking.

URL: https://www.crowdwave.com
作者: andrewstuart
Could you please provide the text you would like me to translate?: Hey it’s Andrew - author of https://www.crowdwave.com here!
- crowdwave works best on your phone - unless you’ve got your headset and microphone plugged in to your desktop, in which case desktop works great too.
Here’s the story:
So about six months ago I saw this post on HN https://news.ycombinator.com/item?id=39910119
https://afterthebeep.tel is really cool - it’s an anonymous voicemail box - you call the provided phone the number and leave a message. Blaine - the guy who runs the site (eventually) listens to and approves your message and writes a headline. It was fun, and I found I kept going back to it and listening to the messages. I left a message once and several weeks later it appeared on the site. Blaine, from comments I read, didn’t seem in a hurry to take the site much further, which got me thinking…
And I simply could not get one question out of my head - “what would happen if users could just hit record on their phone, instead of having to dial a phone number?”.
When I get a software idea I get pretty obsessive and that question just kept gnawing at me.
So, like the any reasonable programmer would, I stopped working on the project I had been working on for literally YEARS and took a detour. Because that’s what you do isn’t it - you just drop those multiple years of work and pick up the shiny new thing.
I saw that afterthebeep is open source and I loved the UI design - the Windows 3.1 aesthetic really appealed to me - it seems perfect for voicemail, so I grabbed the open source code and started development. I couldn’t make much sense of the code - it was using tech I’m not familiar with, so I ditched it all except the layout and the graphics.
Fortunately, the project I had been working on for YEARS is basically a Twitter/Reddit clone, so I ripped the UI out of the afterthebeep open source project and did open heart surgery until like some bizarre Frankenstein’s monster I had put the afterthebeep open source UI onto my code.
And I added in the functionality that I craved so much - a “record” button. Sigh… relief. It was incredibly satisfying to hit record and see a message appear almost immediately. Nerd craving fulfilled.
But my satisfaction did not last long. I REALLY HAD TO fix that problem of getting the posts approved and headlines written. So I made a back end audio processing pipeline and fed the messages into an LLM, which ripped the text from the speech and I then shoved it into OpenAI and asked it to make nice headlines. And it worked beautifully - now you only have to wait 30 seconds to see your message with a nice headline! Ahhhh… sigh, satisfaction… (it wouldn’t be 2024 without an AI twist, would it now?).
But hang on! It would be SO much better if there was some sort of category system almost like subreddits - then people could post their messages into areas of interest. So I built the channel system and sat back… job done.
Looking at the calendar, dreading to see… I’ve dropped into obsessive coding mode and and I’ve been down this rabbit hole full time for MONTHS. I’m getting wary - and I’m also getting tired and sick of the effort - when’s this going to end?
But wait, another idea! How much more cool would it be if you could have your own user account, and follow and like and subscribe! I’ve just GOT TO make that. AND surely it has to be multi language doesn’t it? I mean Germans like talking too don’t they? And user profile pics, and channel banner images, and options and settings. And if you don’t put in terms and conditions and privacy and a cookie message then won’t the Eurpoeans turn up and arrest me? At this stage I’m like a drunken junkie wanting just one more thing, one more thing… scope ain’t just creeping, the scope is up and racing away faster than Usain Bolt.
I’m now like nearly five months into this and packing all this functionality into a UI that both make sense and fits onto a tiny phone screen is becoming a huge challenge - a challenge I don’t know if I can actually solve - and if I can’t make the UI make sense then the whole thing will be unusable. The UI MUST be minimal and yet still reveal to the user pretty much everything within fewer than five pages in total. The UI had to work BEST on a phone. That was a HUGE challenge, and I really didn’t know until the end of the project if I could do it at all. But finally the UI seemed to come together and it was a tight squeeze but fit onto the limited screen resolution of even my old iPhone 6s (yes it’s my main phone).
Then, a few days ago, after many months of grueling grind, there was nothing left on the todo list. crowdwave was done! All the features were done and I’d finally chased down that scope creep.
Which brings us to today. Give https://www.crowdwave.com a go on your phone or desktop if you have microphone. It’s brand new so there WILL be bugs - hopefully not too severe. Thanks to Blaine at https://blaines.world/ for the inspiration!

It seems you’ve only provided the word “Description.” Could you please provide more context or the text you’d like translated?: I made a website where you can play chess puzzles against Stockfish, one of the strongest chess engines in the world.
When playing puzzles, neither Lichess nor Chess.com will accept a wrong move, which in my opinion spoils the resolution of the puzzle since only correct moves allow you to keep playing.
So, I had the idea for a website where you can play chess puzzles, but if you make the wrong move, the puzzle turns into a game against Stockfish. This opens the door to either find alternative solutions or fail miserably (at some point you realize you are not following the puzzle any more). I think its a more engaging way to play puzzles!
This is my first website, don’t expect every div to be correctly centered. The mobile version may not be as polished but is still playable.

Please provide the text you’d like me to translate.: We’ve open-sourced our ETL framework for Vector Data processing.
The VectorETL framework allows Data & AI engineers seamlessly process data from multiple data sources (S3, MySQL, Postgres, Salesforce) to ALL MAJOR vector databases (Pinecone, Weaviate, Qdrant, Milvus etc.)
With our new v1.7 upgrade, engineers can now quickly import VectorETL into your python application (RAG, Vector Search or agent) and have VectorETL speed up your data processing so you can focus on building your AI Logic.
We’d love to get your feedback!

Please provide the text you would like me to translate.: I built EzPromote to solve a problem I faced as a SaaS founder: finding relevant online conversations to organically promote products without spamming.
Key features:
Scans Reddit, LinkedIn, and Twitter using NLP to identify product-relevant discussions Employs AI (Claude) to score conversation relevance and draft context-aware responses Built entirely with no-code tools (Bubble)
Technical challenges:
Implementing efficient multi-platform data scraping within Bubble’s constraints Fine-tuning Claude AI to understand SaaS-specific contexts and generate appropriate responses Balancing automation with maintaining authentic engagement
I’m particularly interested in the HN community’s thoughts on:
Ethical considerations of AI-assisted social media engagement Potential improvements to the NLP/AI model for better context understanding Scalability challenges of no-code solutions for data-intensive applications
Happy to answer any questions about the implementation or discuss the broader implications of AI in marketing automation.

It seems like you haven’t provided any content to translate. Please share the text you’d like translated, and I’ll be happy to help!: Hey HN, I’m Moe, and I built Everyday Academic because trying to stay up to date with research was driving me crazy. I tend to spend my mornings jumping between newsletters, HN, PapersWithCode, ArXiv, HuggingFace, and GitHub just to track what’s new.
After a while, I realized two things:
Spending time on arXiv opened my eyes to all the incredible research happening across fields I didn’t even know existed, but actually understanding it was a whole different challenge. That’s why I built this — to help myself digest what’s going on in these papers, whether it’s CS or something totally different.
What Everyday Academic does: Set Your Expertise: Adjust your knowledge level for each topic. Summaries change to match, and you can fine-tune it for specific papers by clicking a gauge. Glossary: Click on keywords in the summaries to save them to your Glossary, where you’ll get tailored explanations. You can then dive deeper by exploring the terms inside the definitions, kind of like a Wikipedia hyperlink. Filter by Topic: Filter papers by category and subcategory, so you’re only seeing the research that’s relevant to you. It’s a much easier way to stay on top of new papers that you think you’ll care about.
On top of that: Star Papers: Save papers that catch your interest. Full Paper Access: Easily open the full PDF or go straight to the arXiv page.
It pulls from the arXiv RSS feed, and the summaries & glossary definitions are generated by Claude Sonnet 3.5. I made this to simplify how I keep up with research, and now I’m curious if it helps anyone else. Feel free to check it out and let me know what you think!

Please provide the text you would like me to translate.: Most AI companion sites are all about flashy graphics and slick design, but they miss the key part: the interaction.
I did the opposite. My AI focuses on ultra-realistic chat—it hesitates, makes typos, and even writes over you, just like a real person.
Each time you visit, you’re connected with a new “fake” person who has their own hobbies, quirks, and chat style - just like old Omegle (minus the creeps). And if you want more control, you can customize your chat partner’s role, appearance, and more.
I’m serious about “the most realistic AI-chat” claim. If you find a more lifelike AI, I’ll update my claim! I’ve tried them all, and nothing else comes close.
I’d love your feedback! :)

URL: https://github.com/nixys/nxs-data-anonymizer
作者: taskers
Could you please provide the text you would like me to translate?: Hey HN! We’re excited to share with you nxs-data-anonymizer - an open-sourced tool that helps developers and project teams that are dealing with production and test/dev/stage or dynamic namespaces with databases and need to ensure security and prevent data leaks.
It is no secret that the development of even a small project is closely related to the infrastructure, as any program requires a certain environment. Often several environments are required - one for production, and the rest - for different needs, such as testing. But where do we, as developers, actually get data? Use empty databases? If so, we won’t be able to check anything. Synthetic data? It still needs to be invented and generated correctly. And the application will not always work as we need.
The simplest option is to take data directly from production, which is not safe and secure. And that’s when nxs-data-anonymizer tunes in. The solution we came up with turned out to be quite flexible, and easy to use, and its core is based on the following ideas: Stream data processing. This means that you don’t have to do any pre-processing and save a dump of the original database somewhere on disk. nxs-data-anonymizer can change the data that is on its way to being passed on stdin. And output everything to stdout. I.e. you can build the tool directly in command between two pipes;
The values are described by Go templates. Everything you want to replace in desired cells in a table is defined by templates, similar to Helm, which is well-known to people. Of course, just like in Helm, you can use functions that are familiar to you, for example, to generate random strings or numbers;
Terms of use and data of other cells in the row. Filters can be flexible and make certain substitutions depending on the results of other (or even themselves) cells in the same row;
When a column’s security policy is set to randomize cell values, the values are automatically generated based on their data types. We’ve categorized data types (e.g., for MySQL columns like date and datetime) and ensured that the randomized data aligns with the column’s type, providing accurate pre-generated values.
Data consistency. Link block stores links with other columns across all the tables you described in the configuration. I.e. cells in specific columns that have the same values before will have equal values after anonymization.
Now there’s also an ability to work with once-generated data through all anonymizations. The newly developed module provides the generation of once-generated data that can be used in filters.
If you have a dynamically developing project with a frequently changing database structure, you won’t have to adjust the anonymizer config every time with our recent feature. Depending on the type of entities in security settings our tool anonymizes the columns for tables with described rules in the filters section. nxs-data-anonymizer allows you to exclude undescribed data from the resulting dump. There were lots of requests about this feature + it’s actually a cool one, so we came up with it. We’re looking forward to improving our tool so we’d love to see any feedback, contributions, or report any issues you encounter! Please join our chat in telegram: https://t.me/nxs_data_anonymizer where you can discuss something about nxs-backup and ask any questions in the chat: https://t.me/nxs_data_anonymizer_chat

Please provide the text you would like me to translate.: I got sick of:
- Re-writing the same Terraform for the same common AWS infrastructure
- Re-writing the same Rails code to build the same webapp
- Re-configuring the same monitoring systems & CI/CD pipelines
- Spending a week in dependency & configuration hell wiring it all together
When I was launching my first two startups, I wished I had a strong starting point with all of the best practices & technology configured out-of-the-box.
Every tool I found wanted to lock me in to some PaaS provider (that might not even exist in a year) who wanted to take a premium on my infrastructure spend every month. All I wanted was some strong starter code, a working system, and total freedom from there.
I made Launchpad Stack so engineers like me can stop reassembling the wheel. No platform lock-in, no monthly payments, no license restrictions. It’s your code, your business, and you can launch it today.
I would love your feedback!

Could you please provide the text you would like to have translated?: Howdy HN! I’m Lars, one of the founders @ SVVARM, a platform hoping to bring the power of AI and automation to everyone!
Over the last few years, I have witnessed how complicated, convoluted, and costly automation solutions have become. Around 90% of users on Zapier have some form of developer experience, making it very developer oriented. It can often take days and a lot of trial and error just trying to get any automations up and running.
SVVARM hopes to alleviate some of the main problems that are core to those looking to automate:
- Generating automations with natural language prompting
- Exposing these automations with simple to set up triggers (email, message, slack, or API calls)
- Connecting to all your apps with a click of a button or a paste of an API key
- Enabling your automations with tabular data from spreadsheets or databases
- Allowing for customizable nodes that can be written in Python (or using code generated by AI)
Right now, SVVARM is only available via our online offering (waitlisted, but free). We hope to bring the engine to open source as soon as possible. Check out the video of our HackerNews Report demo on our Github! Or try sending your resume to [email protected] with the subject ‘Resume’ to see one of our automations in action!
Let us know what you want to see more of, and if you have any feedback or roasts, please don’t hesitate to drop them below!

Works with Google Docs, spreadsheets, slides, PDFs, Markdown and more.
How it works:
• Create a new board for your team’s project.
• Import your documents in the format you already have, without any conversions.
• Drag-and-drop to easily organize documents into groups and keep track of them.
• Invite your team members!
Try it out and let me know what you think. I’d love to hear your feedback!

I started to work on this about a week ago, the app only knows about texts, text fields, buttons, sliders and stacks so far. The plan is to support more UI components and services (Camera, Data storage, External connectivity…).

Could you please provide the text you would like me to translate?: Hey HN! We’re Zach and Dan, and today we’re excited to introduce NativeWindUI, a UI library that helps you build beautiful apps for all native platforms through the power of Tailwind CSS and React Native. With this familiar set of tools, you can now easily deliver a great experience that feels native to each platform.
As developers, we’ve always been frustrated by the trade-offs between development speed and native user experience. We’ve seen countless apps that feel “off” because they prioritized cross-platform consistency over platform-specific design patterns. It has become painfully clear to us that simply having access to native tooling does not guarantee a native feeling experience.
Dan, the author of Create Expo Stack [1] and a maintainer of NativeWind (Tailwind for React Native) [2], has been a vocal advocate for the importance of native feel in apps. He gave a talk on this topic at Chain React 2024, highlighting how crucial it is for user engagement and retention [3]. Zach, the author of React Native Reusables (shadcn for React Native) [4] and React Native Primitives (headless components for React Native, based on RadixUI) [5], has spent years working on accessible and customizable UI tools that target every platform.
We believe that good design is not just about aesthetics; it’s about trust. In the digital world, design is often the first point of contact between you and a prospective user. Poor design can make your app seem unstable or untrustworthy, while good design indicates attention to detail and care for the user experience.
NativeWindUI aims to solve these problems. It’s built on top of NativeWind, allowing you to use Tailwind CSS classes in React Native, but with a crucial difference: it respects platform-specific design patterns. Here’s a simple example:
``` import { View } from ‘react-native’;
import { DatePicker } from ’~/components/nativewindui/DatePicker’;
function DatePickerExample() { const [date, setDate] = React.useState(new Date());
return (
<View className=“items-center”>
<DatePicker
value={date}
mode=“datetime”
onChange={(ev) => {
setDate(new Date(ev.nativeEvent.timestamp));
}}
/>
</View>
);
}
- Platform-specific user flows and components that adhere to iOS and Android design guidelines
- 30+ copy-pastable components and 8 user flows/templates, no need to import from a library, the code is yours
- A powerful CLI to help you easily install component code and any native dependencies
- Smooth animations and transitions
- Easy theming and dark mode support through `tailwind.config.js`<p>We've been working on this since the beginning of the year, refining it over numerous versions, and now we’re making it available for you to use. We believe NativeWindUI can significantly speed up React Native development without compromising on the native feel that users expect and deserve.<p>You can start exploring NativeWindUI today through our demo app:<p>`npx create-expo-stack@latest --nativewindui`<p>Check out our documentation at <a href="https://nativewindui.com" rel="nofollow">https://nativewindui.com</a> and the GitHub repository for our free components at <a href="https://github.com/roninoss/nativewindui">https://github.com/roninoss/nativewindui</a><p>We're excited to hear your feedback and we'd love to see what you build with NativeWindUI!<p>PS: Which components or templates would you like to see us build next?<p>References
**It seems the text you provided is incomplete. Could you please provide the full text you would like me to translate?**: Have you ever played a game or watched a TV show/movie where certain actions like button presses or other events produced different sounds? This is usually done for audience's benefit (more action on screen) or in a game, to enforce the game loop. I wondered if sound effects could be useful in a work environment, in my case `vim`, to influence my brain in a similar way a game loop does things, and make working more "interesting" than procrastination. So I wrote 'chimed', a Python daemon that lets me play sounds on command and added `autocmd` options in `vim` to play sounds when entering/leaving Insert mode or command line, adding text, yanking, etc.<p>The idea is simple - load small `.wav` files into memory to make latency as small as possible and play them when certain events occur on inputs (and learn how daemons work in Python). Currently the only input is a FIFO, daemon expects specific configurable strings and plays a set of sounds found on <a href="https://freesound.org/" rel="nofollow">https://freesound.org/</a>. This could be expanded in the future to inputs over UDP or TCP, I had also an idea to create a set of process threads which could listen for certain interrupts and play a specific sound, like a set of "bells" in a "wind chime", which could be activated randomly. I'm sure many more ideas could be implemented later.<p>You can find `chimed` on GitHub, it's also available on PyPI as `chimed`.[1] I tested the installation using `pipx` in a clean Debian Bookworm environment, but if there are issues with installation please let me know in the comments. To integrate it with `vim` you can use an example configuration file [2]. See the README.md file for more details.<p>[1]: <a href="https://pypi.org/project/chimed/0.1.0/" rel="nofollow">https://pypi.org/project/chimed/0.1.0/</a><p>[2]: <a href="https://github.com/drybjed/chimed/blob/master/lib/vim/vimrc">https://github.com/drybjed/chimed/blob/master/lib/vim/vimrc</a>
## 75. Show HN: Parse your Postgres queries into a fully-typed AST in TypeScript
**URL**: [https://github.com/pg-nano/pg-parser](https://github.com/pg-nano/pg-parser)
**作者**: aleclarsoniv
**Please provide the text you would like me to translate.**: Hey all, I'm the creator of @pg-nano/pg-parser. I'm using it in pg-nano[1] to statically analyze Postgres schemas spread across multiple SQL files for a couple of reasons:<p>1. Each CREATE statement needs to be in topological order, so pg-nano's dev command can execute them without issue.<p>2. pg-nano has a plugin system like Vite that allows SQL generation based on the parsed schema.<p>Probably to the surprise of no one, working with an untyped AST feels like you're back in the days of JavaScript, because well... you are. Most of you know by now just how great TypeScript and static types in general are, especially if you appreciate SQL.<p>So why is this project worth sharing with you?<p>Well, writing the AST type definitions by hand would have taken me way too much time. It would also be a bear to keep up-to-date as Postgres continues to evolve.<p>To my surprise, I discovered that libpg_query, the C library used under-the-hood, includes JSON definitions in their /srcdata/ folder. I figured I could use them to <i>generate</i> the type definitions. Genius, right? Okay... maybe not <i>genius</i>, but still cool, I think.<p>You see, those JSON definitions provided by libpg_query? They don't exactly contain the TypeScript definitions (was that obvious?). No, no. I had to <i>translate</i> them into TypeScript definitions. (I'm sure <i>you</i> could have done it, yes yes. But did you? No siree bob)<p>It was pain-staking, but overall really not too hard. Time-consuming? Yes, but not as much as writing the type definitions by hand. So... was it worth it? Only time will tell. I hope you find it as useful as I do. And that's all I've got, so thanks for reading.<p>P.S. The build for Windows is broken, so if anyone could lend a hand, you would be a true hero.<p>[1]: <a href="https://github.com/pg-nano/pg-nano">https://github.com/pg-nano/pg-nano</a> (not ready for production use)
